Making Salt Water

There are many people out there that might want to make salt water for different possible reasons. No matter what your reasons are you should know that it is pretty easy to create a good salt water solution. Once we get one bottle that is basically 100% salt water we can easily dilute it when needed. The trick in creating any salt water solution in a fixed percentage stands in the fact that you need to first create the 100% salt water solution first. After that you can easily dilute from 1% to 99%, according to your personal wishes.

You will need pure salt and we recommend sea salt as it does not include some ingredients that are common in refined salt. There are different products in health stores that also include minerals. These are recommended in making salt water because they are organic and you can use it for various possible tasks.

We recommend that you only use water that is distilled. Only in the event that you can not get it you should use tap water. You will have to heat up water and the quantity needed is given by the amount that is needed to fill the bottle of your choice. Next you will have to add salt and use a simple wooden spoon in order to stir as you are adding salt. All you have to do now is look at the water. When the salt will no longer dissolve then we have reached 100 percent saturation for your salt water solution. As soon as you see this you will have to stir a little longer and add a little more salt. Next you have to let the pan cool until it reaches room temperature. Prepare to find even more crystals of salt when the water cools. When room temperature is reached we can put the newly make salt water solution in the bottle we prepared earlier.

Now if you want to create different concentrations of salt water solution all you need is a little math. For instance, if you want to create salt water at a concentration of 50% all you really need to do is add water in a proportion of 50% and salt water in the same proportion. This basically means that for each glass of salt water you should add one glass of regular water. In the same way you can create a salt water solution of 25% if you add 3 glasses of regular water to 1 glass of salt water solution at 100%.
