Water Soluble Vitamins Analysis Kits
Water soluble vitamins are highly important for our bodies. Every specialist is aware of that and people usually tend to think that all are the same while this is not correct. There is a need to always be aware of the amount of such vitamins we find in foods in order to make sure that we take in the RDA for each of them. The problem is that some foods come with various concentrations of such vitamins. This is where special water soluble vitamins analysis kits step in to lend a helping hand.
Foods with High Amounts of Water Soluble Vitamins
A lot of people are aware of the fact that vitamins are highly important for our bodies but when it comes to water soluble vitamins few actually know why they are needed and what foods contain them. What you should know first is that there is a big chance you are already eating various foods that are rich in such vitamins. We are talking about Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, C and folic acid. These are very important health supplements and are always required in our bodies.
Why Are B Vitamins Water Soluble and why do We Need Them?
Vitamins are classified in two main categories: water soluble vitamins and fat soluble vitamins. Fat soluble vitamins are absorbed with the aid of fats through the intestinal tract while water soluble vitamins have the main property of easily dissolving in water. We have 13 vitamins in humans. 4 of them are fat soluble (A, D,E and K) and 9 water soluble (8 B vitamins and vitamin C).
What Are Water Soluble Vitamins?
When talking about water soluble vitamins we are discussing about vitamin c and the B-complex vitamins, which include B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B6 (pyridoxine), niacin (nicotinic acid), B12, folic acid, biotin and pantothenic acid. These vitamins are not active when present in free states and they need to be activated to achieve their coenzyme forms. To put it simple, water-soluble vitamins (vitamin C and B-complex vitamins) are not stored in our body. This means that they have to be taken in daily, usually through food or a multivitamin supplement.
