Vitamins for Hair
Everybody wants to retain the quality of their hair together with its naturalness without having the need to use dyes. The problem is that few people realize how simple this can be in 90% of cases. The fight towards avoiding thick hair that lacks moisture and is dry is not that difficult. All we really need is the capacity to understand some facts about nutrition and how important it is for every aspect of our body including hair quality.
Our hair is colored by the production of melanin, which is a pigment that we can also locate in our skin. We also have specialized organelles in the root of the hair that are called melanocytes. These produce melanin and one vitamin that is called Para-Aminobenzoic Acid (more commonly known as PABA) will help us by keeping melanin production as high as needed. What few people know is that this vitamin is a part of what is known as B-Complex vitamins. It is the best one that works towards keeping hair color natural, which is one fact we all need and want. We basically can not talk about the best vitamins for hair without mentioning B-Complex vitamins. There are also others that fall in the same category that will be beneficial for us due to direct action in normal hair growth and hair quality.
Talking about falling hair, the main aspect we need to know is that the presence of the androgen Dihydrotestosterone (also known as DHT) will lead towards it. One fact is that it is more present in men than in women that have not reached menopause. In order to counter this you will need to pay attention that your hair care product includes Lenoleic Acid or the variation Alpha Lenolenic Acid. The reason behind it is that these two are very good DHT inhibiting agents that do combat hair loss directly.
A lot of people think that damaged hair is caused by nutrition as well. The truth is that hair that is lifeless and parched becomes a reality due to exposure to wind, sun and water. If you use too many styling products, hair perm, straightening products, hair coloring, blow drying and different possible chemical treatments you will see that the hair becomes damaged and turns into something dull and dry. In order to avoid this, the best vitamin solution possible is purchasing hair care products or hair vitamin products that include inositol. You will quickly notice that your hair will be better as inositol will strengthen the cell membranes of hair and will aid it by being able to retain much more moisture than without it. Combine this with Vitamin E, which also works on moisture as it replaces the quantities lost in skin and hair.
To sum up, there are various vitamins that are crucial and we could say that some of them are the best at aiding our hair maintain naturalness. On the other hand it is much more important to focus on all vitamins and minerals in order to have an overall body health that is top notch.
