Vitamins for Hair Loss

Hair loss is a problem that can have a very negative impact on our morale and the way we feel about ourselves. Unfortunately, few people know the importance of vitamins in our daily nutrition scheme and even fewer know that some vitamins have a direct impact on the quality of our hair. The problem is that we need to start thinking about this topic before we start seeing hair dropping and baldness appearing. A common misconception is that vitamins and minerals are highly important when hair starts to drop. The truth is that they are much more important when hair is normal as a lack of certain nutrients can lead to hair loss. Let us take a look at the vitamins you will need if you want to avoid the circumstances that lead to hair loss in most nutrition related cases.

B vitamins are very important for a lot of things in our bodies. They are also crucial for hair health and growth. In order to get the needed doses of B vitamins you will have to eat carrots, cauliflower, soy beans, peas, beans, bran, nuts, nutritional yeast and eggs as these foods are high in B vitamin content. Most people will also require a B-Complex vitamin supplement product and it can be combined with other vitamins and minerals that are important for other functions in the human body.

Hair health is usually the biggest problem that leads to hair loss and Biotin is highly important for maintaining hair health at high standards. You should also know that it is required for healthy skin as well and in some men it can prevent hair loss with a lot of success. Foods high in Biotin content include brown rice, green peas, lentils, brewer’s yeast, sunflower seeds, walnuts, soybeans and oats. Also, hair care products do have Biotin on the ingredients list in most cases and combined with Inositol as well as it is important for hair growth.

One vitamin that is usually neglected when it comes to its importance in hair loss related problems is Vitamin C. This vitamin aids the individual by improving scalp circulation and does help in maintaining capillaries that carry blood to the follicles. Vitamin C is also crucial for a lot more functions in our body and we must never neglect it from our diets.

Be sure to add Vitamin E on the list as well because it increases oxygen uptake. This fact will also improve circulation to the scalp and will improve the growth and health of hair. Scientists think that Vitamin E aids in hair loss problems because in enhances the immune function, which is tied to hair health.

As you can see, some vitamins are recommended when talking about hair because they are crucial in aiding the individual fight off hair loss. Make sure you also add Zinc, L-Cysteine and L-Methionine to the mix and if you see Coenzyme Q10 on the ingredients list of a hair care product you can be sure that it will also aid your fight against eventual baldness.
