B Vitamins for Hair Loss

Out of all the vitamins that are needed by our bodies on a day to day basis in connection with various processes including hair health and growth, B Vitamins are the ones that are the most important from most points of view. There are three of them that are crucial to maintaining your hair shining, strong and in perfect general condition. Understanding which ones they are and making sure that you include them in your diet in adequate quantities is the key you always need to use. There are also other vitamins and minerals that are highly important but B Vitamins are sometimes misunderstood so we need to know what is important about them.

The first vitamin that is a part of the B complex family and that is linked with hair loss is Para-Aminobenzoic Acid. It is also referred to as simply PABA and it is one vitamin that is not well known. It has been proven that PABA has an anti grey hair action and tests done on animals have proven that a deficiency of this vitamin causes grey hair. The good news is that hair color comes back after the vitamin is back in the diet. In humans tests have shown that hair color came back in seventy percent of cases while other papers show that if it is combined with folic acid the percentage reaches close to 100%. A deficiency of Biotin, Folic Acid, Pantothenic acid and PABA will affect hair color and a diet that is rich in B vitamins will restore it and when not it was noticed that a direct impact was present in improving hair growth and quality. You will find PABA and other V vitamins in whole grain, yeast, kidney and liver with liver holding the largest quantities.

You will also need Inositol, another member of the B Vitamins family and one that is recommended for hair loss combat. Laboratory research showed that animals that lack Inositol from their diets will end up bold but hair starts to grow again once Inositol is put back in the diet. Males do require higher quantities of this B vitamin for hair loss than females and skin irritation can also develop when noticing deficiency. Experiments conducted showed that people that take Inositol will have the hair loss process stopped in most cases and in some hair growth is noticed in around one month together with reducing the levels of cholesterol found in blood.

The third B vitamin for hair loss that needs to be taken in is Vitamin H, which is more commonly known as Biotin. It has been proven to be a hair growth vitamin and will prevent excessive hair loss while also metabolizing fatty acids. You can find it in egg yolks, liver, milk, yeast and kidney. A Biotin supplement can be useful in keeping hair longer but it is highly recommended that a B Complex supplement is used and not just one with the three mentioned above as B Vitamins are important for a lot more than hair loss cases.
