Vitamin F

Vitamin F is a term used for essential fatty acids and it is basically a group of 2: LA (linoleic acid) and LNA (alpha-linoleic acid). The most complete one is LA. We also need to mention the existence of essential fatty acids (commonly referred to as EFA): omega-3 and omega-6. Our body can not create vitamin F so we need to make sure we get it from what we eat or through supplementation when needed.

Vitamin F Deficiency

We can safely say that vitamin F is not really that well known. We do not really know what the recommended daily dose should be and most supplements on the market do not even include vitamin F in the formula. Even if they do, in most cases it is referred to under other scientific names and it is hard for the regular individual to know that it is included. The biggest problem stands in the fact that vitamin F deficiency is possible and it can lead to a series of serious problems that affect our hair, skin, eyes and vision.
