Natural Vitamin E

There are different forms of vitamin E that can be mentioned. The one that is used directly by our body is alpha tocopherol. You should be aware of the fact that natural vitamin E actually refers to this form and not others that you can find in various supplements. Different varieties possible include gamma, beta and delta tocopherols. They are very common in a combination with alpha tocopherol in various foods that are rich in vitamin E.

You need to understand that there are differences between natural vitamin E and synthetic vitamin E. The synthetic variation is less effective than the normal one. We must mention that vitamin E can exist in 2 main forms known under the letters D and L. Those that are L are basically useless for our body. Synthetic vitamin E is made out of a combination of L and D known as DL-alpha tocopherol. This solution does cost less but it is not really biologically active. According to various scientific studies synthetic vitamin E is basically eliminated a lot faster from the body when compared with natural vitamin E.

The raw state of vitamin E is present under oil form. In order to put this in capsules you will need to esterify it. This basically means that another substance must be added. In most cases manufacturers use succinate or acetate. This substance will be destroyed when you ingest the pill. In this case we are left with the natural vitamin E form that is useful for our body.

In most cases the vitamin E you purchase under pill form from stores is just a part of the actual vitamin. It does not bring in enough benefits if we compare it with natural vitamin E that we take in from what we eat. This is exactly why it is highly important for us and our body to take in most of the vitamin E needed amounts from what we eat. The best sources that should be mentioned are avocados and sunflower oil. Only afterwards should we consider supplementation. On the other hand there are some people that really need to purchase vitamin E supplements. In this case make sure that as much natural vitamin E as possible is included in what you are buying. By doing this you will make sure that all the vitamin E benefits possible are a reality. Do not neglect the information offered and you will feel a lot better on the long run.
