Vitamin B5 for Acne
When dealing with acne people do tend to try everything possible in order to deal with this problem. Unfortunately a lot of individuals end up trying everything and they do it wrong. The truth is that acne is not easy to take care of and the entire topic has to be handled properly. One new trend stands in using vitamin B5 for acne. Although many tend to be skeptic, there have been results and it is one alternative that has to be taken into account. The problem stands in the fact that you will need to use high doses of this vitamin. We are basically dealing with around 10 grams daily, which is much higher than the minimum daily requirements. Keep in mind that the human body needs to get used to such a high intake. This basically means that you should never start taking high doses immediately. We recommend that you use capsules that only contain Vitamin B5 with 500 mg in each capsule. In the first 3 days dose around 5 grams daily. Make sure that you do not take all pills at once. After 3 days passed you can go for 10 grams daily but remember that you do have to split and not take all the pills at once. Only go through such a treatment option for around 3 months, which should be sufficient to clear acne. If this does not happen you should seriously consider consulting a specialist as you might be dealing with a problem that has to be handled differently.
Remember that vitamin B5 for acne can bring in some side effects. It is very important to stop whenever such side effects become problematic. Some individuals have reported some conditions that appeared after using vitamin B5 for acne. This includes severe or mild diarrhea, stomach irritation, hair loss (something that is very rare), chapped lips and increased appetite (pay attention to not increase your cholesterol levels without even realizing it). In most cases such side effects disappear in around 5 days but there is something that has to be pointed out. You will need to take all vitamin B5 supplements in combination with food. In this case stomach problems and diarrhea is minimized. The real good news stands in the fact that vitamin B5 is basically a water soluble vitamin. This basically means that you can not really reach overdoses because excess is eliminated naturally from your body. On the other hand you should not take vitamin B5 for acne if you are breast feeding or pregnant.
You might want to know how vitamin B5 for acne actually works. It basically creates coenzyme-A quantities that are higher than normal. In most cases people that suffer from acne are faced with fat metabolism problems. Coenzyme-A can cause that if it lacks in your body. Fats end up not being broken down and will get deposited in the oil glands. At the end of the process fat is secreted under the form of sebum. As an immediate result we are faced with acne. Thanks to high doses of vitamin B5 for acne the increased levels of coenzyme-A will aid in breaking down fats. Oily skin is basically removed and acne ends up eliminated. Pantothenic acid also aids because it will make the pores smaller. As an immediate result you will be faced with a smoother and better looking skin.
The biggest problem when vitamin B5 for acne is concerned is the fact that you will have problems finding the needed supplements. It is not really common to find vitamin B5 in such large amounts at your local supermarket or drug store. On the other hand you will easily find such products in stores that are specialized in vitamins or drugs in general. Keep in mind that you usually find such a product under the name of pantothenic acid and not B5.
