The thiamine vitamin is a good source of energy for the body as it produces the essential energy from the food that is taken. It converts the carbohydrates and builds them into muscles. There are a good number of reasons to justify the supplementation of this vitamin.

This vitamin bears a whole lot of beneficial factors for the body. The absence of these vitamins leads to severe problems for the body and thus proper intake is recommended. Vitamin B1, which is also called as thiamine, is most essential for the cellular reaction that builds up the body. This vitamin is found in abundance in garbanzo beans, whole grain, bakes potato, liver, beef kidney, navy beans, ham and many more food varieties. Thiamine is found in various other foods, but in small concentrations. Regular intake of these foods will offer a good supplement of this vitamin and hence avoid the ill effects of the absence of vitamin B1.

This vitamin supplement should be regular to enhance the body’s function and also the amount of intake must be regulated as this vitamin may also show some diuretic effects.

This vitamin enhances potential improvement in the mental alertness and also appetite. If people are taking this vitamin supplement with the help of tablets, other products like chewing gums and through liquid products then they should follow the recommended intake quantities to get the right quantity for the body’s use. Natural ways of supplementing this vitamin is through foods like yeast, peas, baked potato, meat poultry, fish, ham, whole grain, cereal and so on. The natural intake of this vitamin is very important and better than the artificial one as these natural foods are absorbed naturally and gets into the blood stream faster than the others. Daily intake if 1.5 mg of thiamine is mostly sufficient for the body, unless and until there is excess amount of calorie intake. Thus this vitamin is the power house of the body and the intake of this important vitamin should be regular in order to enjoy its benefits and lead a healthy lifestyle.
