Benefits of Supplementing Thiamine

Thiamine that is taken as a B complex supplement is so much important that it produces energy that is required by the body’s day to day functions. It not only aids in energy production, but also helps in mental health, nerve health, improves memory and focus and chiefly it is responsible for good anti oxidant properties to eliminate the free radicals that are generated due to various environmental problems.

The other name of thiamine is vitamin B1. This important vitamin is found in foods like fish, poultry, black molasses, strap molasses, meat, peas, yeast, cereal and so on. It is found in many foods but with little concentrations but that is sufficient for a daily intake when foods are consumed in combination. The intake of this vitamin should be monitored and the correct cooking methods should be followed as over cooking destroys these vitamins. Apart from the intake and the use, these are depleted because of sugar, Theo bromine, tannins that is present in coffee, nicotine, alcohol and high carb diets.

The first and foremost role of this vitamin is the conversion of the food into useful energy and building them into muscles. When this process is continuous then the body continues to function regularly. If there is a deficiency in the supplement, then the body will not be able to convert the food into energy and thus the body will confront problems in the intake of additional food itself.

So care should be taken to take the supplements regularly with the correct supplement levels. The daily requirement of this vitamin is 1.5 mg. To list the benefits of this vitamin, it takes a great deal of time as it has ample number of properties to take care of the body’s function. First and foremost it supplies so much energy and it is why the athletes are into using these vitamins in a whole lot. Its aids in relieving post exercise tiredness and on the other hand improving the reaction time, attitude and mental health. It provides good muscle strength, improvement in muscle tissue, nervous function, cardio vascular function and thus also enhances the overall health system of the body. This vitamin is best known for the cellular reaction, and aids the enzymes in its function. This vitamin plays an important role in the metabolic activities and normal functions of the nervous system. Thus this vitamin governs the overall activities of the body.
