Benefits Of Supplementing with Rutin

There are many benefits to supplementing with rutin. Rutin is a bioflavonoid. This is a class of nutrients that are water-soluble. That means that they are not stored in the body and any excess is flushed out through the body's waste system. Most experts agree that as more data becomes available about rutin and the other bioflavonoid, the more beneficial they are. Currently rutin is used to help relieve problems associated with hemorrhoids, varicose veins, poor circulation, and collagen loss in the body.

Treating hemorrhoids with rutin is the most common reason for using it as a supplement. Rutin helps to improve circulation and reduce inflammation. This results in diminished symptoms and discomfort of hemorrhoids.

Varicose veins and poor circulation are actually interrelated. By helping the arteries and veins keep their structure, it allows for better circulation. This in turn reduces the number of varicose veins that are visible and it prevents new ones from appearing. By alleviating these symptoms, people are able to look and feel better.

Collagen loss shows as wrinkles and decreased skin elasticity. No one wants to look any older than they really are. Collagen loss can be caused by several different issues. In general, as we age, our bodies produce less. Poor diet and malnourishment can also trigger collagen loss. Supplementing with rutin will help prevent this from occurring.

Another benefit of supplementing with rutin is that rutin helps the body to properly metabolize vitamin C. There is no doubt in anyone's mind that vitamin C is a necessary part of our diet. However if it is unable to be metabolized, then it does not yield the beneficial effects.

Rutin is easy to get into the diet. An increased intake of citrus fruit will significantly increase your levels of rutin. For some reason if this is not sufficient, then supplementation with a pill or capsule is advised. You can find rutin supplements in any local pharmacy or health food store. If you supplement with rutin, the recommended dosage is 200-600mg. Some people take a low doe twice a day instead of a single large dose. If you are taking prescription medications, check with your doctor before taking rutin supplements just to be sure that they will not interfere with your medications.

Overall, the benefits of supplementing with rutin are clear. Even if you have none of the above symptoms, you can still benefit by having this bioflavonoid added to your diet.
