Pear

Full of aroma and very juicy, the pear stands for a delicious desert, but also a natural autumn remedy. Being very widely spread this season, it would be a shame not to take advantage of the benefits the pear offers us.

Known as one of the first cultivated fruits, the pear gradually appeared in numerous countries all over the globe. Below the golden peal, this fruit contains a large deposit of vitamins and minerals that are benefic to our organism and our immune system. Pear consumption offers both the pleasure of enjoying such delicious and perfumed fruits and the possibility of assimilating their healthy components.

Pears are based on lots of valuable elements. Next to water, cellulose, fats and chlorophyll these fruits contain calcium, phosphor and vitamins A, B and C. These series of substances is completed by the presence of sugar witch makes them easy to digest by persons that have stomach problems and also for diabetics.

Because of their composition, pears have been recommended by medics for the treatment of various health conditions. The main properties of pears are the diuretic, laxative, re -mineralizing, nutritive and astringent ones. Therefore, pears can be used to treat different kidney diseases, cardiovascular conditions but also in preventing flu, respiratory infections and immune deficiencies. A very important role of pears is the one they have over human lungs, helping hydrate and clean lung tissue in case of complications.

Pears bring us numerous benefits:

- They have a reviving effect in case of asthenia.
- They are indicated while treating rheumatism, arthritis and other bone and articulation complications.
- They hurry acne healing.
- They take away tiredness.
- They increase the production of the cells in the immune system.
- They ameliorate fever.
- They hurry kidney and liver healing after surgical procedures.
- They calm cough.
- They help the thyroid gland function properly.
- And they influence cholesterol decrease.

Next to its therapeutic effects, the pear is also used in cosmetics. Pear face masks have an astringent revitalizing and nutritive effect, helping in cleaning, refreshing and hydrating the face skin. In case of mature skin, it’s recommended to use certain pear varieties that are very sweet and well ripen.

The pear fruits must be consumed fresh, without being pealed. In case of a sensitive stomach, the peal can be taken away and the pear will have a better laxative effect. Pear juice helps regulate digestion, but it also helps treating cough and asthma. Dried fruits are used to make tea for medical purposes.
