Apricots

From these yellow orange fruits, wonderfully sweet and full of aroma, we use everything from flowers to fruits and seeds. The apricot tree has been known for more than 5000 years in China and people continue to love it for all its qualities. The seed’s core contains vitamin B17, in very large quantities, that destroys cancer cells. The little seed is also rich in proteins and essential acids and has almost the same excellent properties as almond oil. With only 2 apricots a day you assure your daily amount of vitamin A needed by your body.

The apricots contain many vitamins, starting with vitamin A then following with the anti-oxidation carotene, vitamins B and C, Ferum, magnesium and phosphor. The most important thing about apricots is that they protect your body against sun rays (tomatoes and apricots consumed in large quantities especially in summer time are much more efficient than any other sun screen cream with a high protection factor). The apricot also regulates intestinal functions, because of its high fiber composition. It is one of the few fruits that get well assimilated by babies starting from early ages. The apricot helps improving memory cells because of the phosphor content and successfully detoxifies any ‘tired’ organism. They also successfully fight insomnia and are recommended to be eaten if a reposeful night sleep is targeted.

In winter, when the fresh fruit is not available, people eat dried apricots because they keep most of their properties even in this form. In cosmetics, this perfumed fruits is a real star. All its components are used: seeds, flowers and fruits. The apricot stops skin aging and it is a great very nutritive tonic.

The Chinese used to exploit apricot fruits to improve life and the apricot flowers in cosmetic purposes. Because of their high content of cellulose and pectin, they have been used as a successful laxative in constipation situations. The fruit provokes an alkaline reaction in our bodies and helps digestion when it’s consumed before meals. With a high Ferum count, these fruits are also recommended in anemia, helping our body increase the hemoglobin quantity.

Fresh apricot juice is a true natural medicine when it is used by patients experiencing high fever or skin diseases. Mixed with honey or glucose, this juice is very refreshing in case of fever and it also contributes at eliminating toxins from organism. If applied on lesions, eczemas, sun burns or skin problems caused by freezing, the apricot juice acts efficiently by ameliorating and healing the affected skin.
