Apple Diet

Amongst the more or less conventional diets that circulate through the various media types we can find the apple diet. This diet can be interpreted firstly as an alimentary program consisting exclusively of apples, it has been conceived as a detoxifying diet and it can be kept for a few days.

Another approach of this diet is to integrate apples into a well built alimentary schedule, next to other healthy foods. You can consume any fresh fruits or vegetable, even fat free meat, as long as it is boiled or barbequed and not cooked in oil or other animal or vegetal fats.

What are the benefits of the apple diet?

Fist of all, the apple as all other fresh fruits is an important source of healthy enzymes that help digestion and fights constipation (remember the saying: An apple a day keeps the doctor away?). Additionally, vitamin C and fibers are also essential for the proper functioning of the human body.

Apple diet is simple and easy to follow. Basically consume an apple before each main meal. An apple of average size contains about 5 grams of fiber, ie 20% of the daily recommended fiber quantity. The good news is that the fibers contained in an apple have a varied structure and they are all beneficial, either soluble or insoluble.

The pectin or the soluble part of the apple brings another great benefit by preventing the cholesterol from depositing on artery. Insoluble fibers are the ones that practically create the volume increase of the alimentary bowl in the colon and help eliminate digestive scrap easy and fast.

The main reason people appeal to various diets is loosing weight without the risk of damaging health. If one consumes at least 3 apples a day, you will get the sensation of fullness easier and this way you can facilitate the weight loss process. Apples count a number of no more than 80 calories, no fats thus no cholesterol. The guides from apples help ameliorate the urge for sweets and decrease the incidence of ‘sinning’ with some ice-cream or chocolate. Not to mention they are easy to transport, they don’t smash in a handbag and they don’t need a refrigerator.

The benefits of an apple diet, besides the obvious benefit of loosing unwanted pounds, also include prevention of certain types of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Therefore the apple diet is a recommended diet because along with all the other aliments that form it, consumed moderately, can bring to our body a plus of balance and health.
