Is Rheumatoid Arthritis Pregnancy Related?
Although it seems almost incredible, childbirth can bring many unfortunate side effects in women. It all depends on the natural strength of the woman’s body, on the history of diseases and on the pregnancy nutritional diet each woman follows. Recent studied show that rheumatoid arthritis pregnancy factors are too important not to be known and taken into consideration by all women that want to have a baby or just gave birth.
The pregnancy is a condition that is considered to be a sign of health, but it can constitute the perfect developing ground for numerous diseases. During pregnancy hormone levels are unusually high and certain specific chemical processes occur in the body, giving birth to numerous abnormalities. After birth, the stress induced by a sudden wave of hormones and by the exhausting daily program a newborn baby imposes can trigger chaos in the immune system. If immune cells are not functioning properly, then they might register a misinformation and start attacking tissues of their own body, therefore starting the process that generates rheumatoid arthritis. This is exactly why women tend to develop this condition more often than men.
When a pregnant woman or young mom has rheumatoid arthritis, then, if we were to look in detail over her immune system cells, we would discover that certain immune attackers are born more rapidly and in much higher numbers than under normal circumstances. Their apparition process occurs just like in the case of sever infections, infections that are not actually present in the affected body. Rheumatoid arthritis pregnancy symptoms will often appear after one or two months from conception. They will be very acute, even if the disease is merely starting to install. Pregnant women complain of sever pain in articulations like knees and wrists, and also register a major swelling at their level. The problem is that during pregnancy most rheumatoid arthritis drugs are not recommended, but the good news is that the pain and swelling will disappear a few months before giving birth. However, after the child is born, the symptoms will revisit.
If a woman has not developed this type of arthritis during pregnancy she is not off the hook yet. This disease can manifest itself at any time during first month after conception and one and a half years after birth. Child birth favors the apparition of rheumatoid arthritis because birth hormones are present at very low levels during the third trimester and then, suddenly a huge ocean of hormones invades the body after the child is born.
Rheumatoid arthritis pregnancy treatment will be made up by natural therapies and drugs, teas and lost of rest. After birth, medical treatment can be started if the disease is chronic and the mother will not or can not breastfeed her baby.
