Osteoarthritis Exercise Plan

Nowadays, people don’t make as much physical effort during their daily routine as they used to in the past – work places and store are situated farther and farther away from home, so far that it is virtually impossible to walk all that way. Also, the automated devices have taken away most of the physical efforts we used to make outside our home that we now spend most of our work hours in front of the PC and our free time in front of the TV. Still, it is a reality that obtaining a general good heath is a combination between regularly exercises, nutritive food, maintaining the ideal weight and sleeping well. Sticking to this concept throughout our lives can prevent some medical conditions and help minimize the symptoms of others, such as osteoarthritis.

If you are suffering from osteoarthritis or you simply intend to prevent its development then you need an osteoarthritis exercise plan that can help you target certain area of you body without further damaging others.

For back problems cause by osteoarthritis the recommended osteoarthritis exercise is the indoors stationary bicycle. It gives you the opportunity to move your articulations without putting in much effort and you can stop it simply using a button, set the rhythm of your exercise depending on your needs and freely practice without having to pay extra attention to traffic or roads, reducing substantially the amplified risk of additional injuries. This exercise is also good in case of knee osteoarthritis, but you will have to practice for no more than 10 minutes a day.
The right osteoarthritis exercise for finger articulation problems is finger gymnastics if we can call it that way. You will need to move the injured articulations each day for 10 minutes, according to a plan suggested by you physician, or simply by playing an instrument, or following a musical dance with your hands. Any finger movement must include exercises that stretch and retract the fingers for a better mobility and to avoid future hand stiffness.

Your usual osteoarthritis exercise must target the damaged cartilages, and before very session you must make sure you have drunk enough liquids to moisture the articulations enough so they won’t get additional injuries caused by dry friction.
