Omega 6
Omega 6 is a fatty acid that is present in all body cells. Usually, it is located in the membrane of these cells.
Heart and brain are the main organs of our body that need Omega 6 fatty acid. In the past nutritionists recommended low fatty acids by arguing that these acids would increase the risk of certain cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases.
At present however, by numerous researches conducted in recent years concluded that this type of fatty acid is very useful in our body. Researchers from the American Association of Cardiology showed that the incidence of cardiovascular diseases reduced the risk in patients who have a diet rich in fatty acids, particularly Omega 6.
A beneficial action of Omega 6 fatty acid that is also worth a mention here is increasing the fluidity of blood while also reducing the risk of blood clots called thrombosis. Reduction of cholesterol by up to 65% is one of the most beneficial actions to which the blood increases the ability to carry energy throughout the body. This increases vitality and our physical state.
Omega 6 is also responsible for proper development of sensory nerve cells present in the brain and nervous system. Cognitive ability significantly improves.
Fatty acid is located in cell membranes, especially in one’s skin. It is useful in maintaining strength flexibility of cell membranes while also having antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties. Many researches in the field show that the corresponding fatty acid Omega 6 helps greatly in the treatment of allergic diseases and inflammatory cornice. If cell membranes are a suitable intake of Omega 6 fatty acid, then this is seen in reducing drying skin, hair shine and healing in some wounds.
