Inflammatory Heart Disease
Inflammatory heart disease is a condition that basically affects our heart muscles and can be defined as a group of many possible diseases from pericarditis to myocarditis. It is extremely dangerous to be suffering from such a condition and we should always avoid it at all costs.
Inflammation might be caused by notorious toxic wastes or due to infectious agents and even due to an unknown origin. The Inflammatory heart diseases like myocarditis or rheumatic heart disease affect our body from the penetration of the myocardium part of the heart or the valve with the T cells and the macrophages that consequence in scarring of myocardium. From the studies of T cells, these diseases have recognized a condition called cardiac myosin in the rheumatic carditis and also the myocarditis as an imperative auto antigen. In the rheumatic heart disease condition, the streptococcal M protein and T cells drift towards the valves. By studying the streptococcal M protein and also the cardiac myosin in a rat model for myocarditis and valvulitis, the T cell imitation is supported as an impending mechanism in such a disease.
The structural and the immunological impressions between both the streptococcal protein and the cardiac myosin are revealed directly in the rat model. These rats’ T cell lines demonstrate the mimicry between the cardiac myosin and the M protein. The T cells taken directly from the inflammatory lesions in the myocarditis act in response to the streptococcal M protein type peptides. T cell lines formed from the rat model specific to the cardiac one include sequences of the streptococcal M protein traveled to the valves subsequent to passive shift of M protein definite T cell lines. T cell mimicry stuck between the cardiac myosin and the microbial antigens may prepare the immune system of the body for the inflammatory heart disease that is soon to develop.
In this type of condition, the linings of the arteries that carry blood at a normal rate become hard and thick due to the excess build up of fat deposits, which are called plaques. This stage leads to the block or the interruption of the blood flow. It can happen in all parts of the body where the artery affected runs. This leads to swelling and thus begins to damage the heart. This inurn accumulates and thus results in a massive cardiac arrest.
