Fruit Nutrition Information
There are all kinds of fruit nutrition information available. This may seem a bit excessive, considering the virtues of fruit have been espoused for literally thousands of years. While this may be true, it should be noted that most fruit nutrition information falls off the wayside, much like a watermelon falling off a truck. Let it be known: Fruit is by far one of the most important and nutritious foods in history. Fruit nutrition information isn't just useful, it's incredibly vital. Fruit is literally magical. It can reduce cholesterol, prevent cancer, lower blood pressure, increase energy, and shed pounds. Many ads for nutrition supplements promise these things and fail spectacularly. If more people were aware of fruit nutrition information, we would all know that there truly is a "superfood" that can make our lives better and more enjoyable. That "superfood' is fruit in all its wonderfully varied forms.
Ask any scientist, nutritionist, or herbal quack and they will tell you that the most healthy and vital fruits of all are berries. Each kind of berry carries its own special brand of health benefits. Blueberries just may top the list of the healthiest fruits of all time. This is because blueberries contain antioxidants, which have been proven to prevent cancer and remove the free radicals from the body that harm it irreparably. Blueberries, like all fruits, also increase energy and are low in fat. Raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries are also incredibly healthy in many ways. They also are chock-full of antioxidants.
Red fruits are incredibly healthy as well. Especially tomatoes and red grapes. What makes them so healthy is also what makes them red, interestingly enough. Red fruits and vegetables are typically full of what are called "lycopenes". Lycopenes have been shown to prevent many kind of cancers, including prostate cancer and testicular cancer. The benefits of lycopenes aren't limited to fruits, though. Tomato sauce, tomato paste, wine, and grape juice all contain the lycopenes that have been proven to increase the overall vitality and health of the average person.
All in all, fruits don't get enough credit for the widespread good that they have done for humanity ever since their incarnation in the Garden of Eden, according to some strict fundamentalist christians. Whether the Bible is true or not, one can certainly imagine Noah and company living seven hundred plus years subsisting on a diet high in fruit. Perhaps we all can take a tip from Noah and increase our fruit intake.
