Science has long established that many brain and nervous system disorders are a direct result of long-term nutrient deficiencies... |
The stresses of a modern life, natural depletion of essential nutrients from your diet, a decrease in your immunity and the subsequent vulnerability... |
The ‘standard’ medical solution for high cholesterol is to prescribe a statin drug. Whereas these are generally effective in lowering cholesterol… |
Pre Diabetes
In many respects, pre diabetes is actually a blessing in disguise because it provides the person who is afflicted with it a clear indication that they are now perilously close to developing full blown diabetes. Thankfully, when a person is diagnosed as suffering from pre diabetes they still have a period of time in which they can hopefully minimize the damage and prevent the pre diabetes escalating into diabetes type 2.
However, many people end up trivializing and underestimating the consequences and effects that pre diabetes can have on their health and this is an extremely dangerous proposition indeed because if left unchecked, it can cause a significant amount of damage to the heart and blood vessels. Anyone who regards pre diabetes as nothing more than a bump in the road should seriously consider just how much they actually value their health.
If you are diagnosed as suffering from pre diabetes then the best, most effective manner in which you can reverse this worrying state of affairs is to ensure that you increase the amount of exercise you perform and that you scale down the refined sugar as well as saturated fats in your diet. In particular, it is strongly recommended that you try and derive a larger proportion of the carbohydrates in your diet from whole grain sources as these will provide you with the required amount of carbohydrates whilst at the same time, avoiding the sudden peaks and dips in your blood sugar level.
Many people who are diagnosed with pre diabetes end up taking the easy option, succumbing to the exceptionally foolish belief that they are somehow doomed to contract diabetes and therefore there is nothing constructive that they can do to help save themselves. Such people are in effect damning themselves to developing diabetes type 2 simply because they have failed to take full advantage of the second chance that is being offered to them. Don’t make that mistake.
The truth of the matter is that many of these people simply do not wish to make the effort to change their lifestyle, and to be more active because change is after all, an extremely frightening prospect for us all. However if you find that you are struggling to summon the motivation to turn your health around then you just need to remember one simple fact: if you do not work out you WILL get diabetes type 2.
