Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine monohydrate, for those who are unaware, is one of the safest and most useful supplements available for weightlifters and bodybuilders. While there are countless pills and supplements available to the average musclehead, most of these products are ineffective and are sold on a basis of lies. It is shameful that these corporations are able to get away with millions of dollars while duping people who are generally considered to be at the lower end of the intelligence ladder. Fooling a meathead is about as difficult as beating a paraplegic in a foot race, but so it goes, unabated; the musclebound lunkheads plop down their hard-earned money to buy products that are intended to increase bulk, strength, and muscle mass, all while literally pissing away the majority of what they ingest. Fortunately, creatine monohydrate is not one of those trumped-up supplements that business criminals have made millions on. Creatine monohydrate has been proven to work effectively at increasing both muscle size and strength. Even the supplement companies aren't able to make it ineffective and worthless, though they will certainly try, adding all kinds of worthless chemicals to some of their creatine products.
Creatine monohydrate works so well at building mass and strength because it is a naturally-occuring substance in the human body. Creatine can be found in most red meats and, when ingested, is turned into "creatinine" inside the body. This is used to help the body perform physical tasks more effectively. What creatine monohydrate does is increase the amount of creatine in the body in order to make it even more effective and give the muscles in the body a boost the likes of which can't be found by simply ingesting protein. Creatine is sold by countless companies, and the best creatine to buy is the one that is pure creatine monohydrate. Don't bother getting anything that promises "added benefits" because those benefits are largely false claims and won't help you in any way.
When taking creatine, you will want to mix it with a fruit juice of some kind. This is because creatine has a hard time activating itself inside the body without some kind of sugar and carbohydrate to help it manifest itself into creatinine. Apple juice seems to be the most used and most effective among juices when mixed with creatine. The average dose is about five grams and is taken daily, though some weight lifters like to do what is called "creatine loading", wherein they take around twenty milligrams a day for about four days each month before continuing the usual five grams a day routine. Both techniques have been proven to be effective, and the individual must try it out for himself in order to see what is most effective for him.
