Best Creatine Supplement
Creatine is generally considered to be the best workout supplement available these days. In countless studies, creatine has shown its effectiveness in not only increasing muscle size but also the strength of muscles. In addition, creatine has been shown to diminish the time necessary for your body to recover from the stress that it is placed under from weight training. What this means is that you will be able to work out more often with less rest in between, while also being able to lift more during each workout. It is for these reasons that creatine rules the roost when it comes to workout supplements.
Creatine is available in so many various forms and incarnations that it can be hard to determine what is the best creatine supplement. In actuality, there may be no one "best creatine supplement" available, because all of them basically do the same thing at the same rate. Perhaps the best creatine supplement is the one that is the least expensive. One thing is certain, though; It can definitely be a confusing task to enter a fitness store and choose just one creatine supplement among the many that are available to you.
Keep in mind that creatine, in and of itself, is a very basic thing. Creatine monohydrate is the name for creatine in its pure form, and that is what you should be looking for when making a purchase. Don't worry about all the different products that sell creatine mixed with glucose, glucamine, taurine, and other such fodder. These supplements, while useful in certain ways, are mainly there to make you pay more for the product. Creatine monohydrate in its pure form is all that you need. It will be less expensive and just as effective. GNC has been selling their own creatine monohydrate for years and it works just as well as anything else you can buy.
Remember that creatine is only effective if you are working out while taking it. If you are using creatine and being a bit lax in your workouts, you may gain weight or otherwise look less attractive. Also, keep in mind that creatine isn't some miracle drug. It works but it won't work as well as, say, steroids. While steroids are definitely a horrible idea, they do make you incredibly strong and anybody expecting something comparative in creatine will be sorely disappointed. Creatine will, however, make your workouts more effective than working out without creatine. It will also help your muscles to look bigger, but this is more cosmetic than anything, as much of that bulk is attributable to water weight. At any rate, just keep on working out and you'll see the myriad of benefits that creatine has to offer.
