Sexual Benefits Of Choline

Many of us are looking to return to the sex drive we had when we were 20. Years of bad diets, the addition of a few pounds, stress, and aging in general tend to decrease our performance in this arena. That is why drugs such as Cialis and Viagra are so popular. However, these drugs are not without risk and they are expensive. There is concern about the extended safety of these chemicals. This is why so many people are turning toward safer, more natural ways to increase sex drive and performances.

The sexual benefits of choline use as a supplement are real. Choline is metabolized in the body into betaine. Betaine is responsible for removing the chemical homocysteine from the body. A high level of homocysteine is known to be a contributor to high cholesterol levels, which in turn reduces blood flow to all areas of the body. Reduced blood flow will not only reduce your sex drive but it will have a negative effect on performance and enjoyment for both men and women. Furthermore, proper amounts of choline in the body results in the proper neurotransmissions from spine to muscles and to pleasure receptors. If your love life is suffering from a lack of drive, stamina or the ability to orgasm, then you should look into adding choline to your diet through several methods.

Increasing your choline intake by eating meats, fish, eggs, and whole grains will offer you increased choline intake on the most natural level. However, certain prescription drugs, especially those for heart conditions and psoriasis can inhibit the absorption of choline. Many experts recommend the addition of supplements containing lecithin, glycerolyphosphorylcholine, or phosphatidylcholine. These are the most common forms of choline supplements.

Ideally, a supplement containing one of these compounds should be taken in the morning and then once about half an hour or so before you wish to be with your partner. Both men and women can benefit from supplementation. Many claim that you will notice a significant increase in drive, satisfaction and stamina just after one use. Perhaps this is true; however you can expect a marked increase over time as the choline levels in your body become stable through daily supplements. Then when you add the additional supplement before you want to engage in relations, your body has an extra boost to be sure that cell function and neurotransmissions are working at optimal performance. These are some of the sexual benefits of choline supplementation.
