Tasty Blueberry Recipes

There are plenty of ways to enjoy the benefits of blueberries. One of those ways is to try some of the blueberry recipes presented below or others you might come across.

One of the most used blueberry recipes is the Blueberry Cake.

For one medium sized cake you will need: 250 ml water, 150 g grain flour, 60 grams butter and 3 eggs for the dough. The cream is made of 150 ml water, 4 sheets of gelatin, a quarter of a kilo of cow’s cheese, 350 grams of blueberries, 50 ml of milk, 250 ml of whipped cream, 180 grams of sugar and the juice and peel of a lemon.

For the dough you will place the butter and water to boil together. When they are boiling put all the flour at once and stir until the dough detaches from the bowl. Then, the eggs are poured into the bowl one by one, stirring well after each one. The dough is then shaped into a spiral on a sheet of paper. Place it in the oven and cook it for 20 minutes, then let it cool down.

The blueberries will be boiled with 100 grams of sugar and 150 ml water. The juice is drained and retained in a glass. Mix the cheese with the milk, the remaining sugar, the lemon juice and peel, the gelatin and the whipped cream. The fruits are smoothly mixed into this cream and the result is left to harden for a while. After 10 minutes the cream is placed over the baked cake and on top you can pour a little bit of the remaining fruit juice as a topping.

One of the blueberry recipes that are often used during the cold season is the Blueberry Jam Recipe.

The needed ingredients are: 1 kg sugar, a big glass of clean blueberries, free of pips, a lemon and a vanilla bar.

The syrup is prepared from sugar, vanilla and 750 ml water. When it is beginning to coagulate, you can place the washed and drained blueberries. When the mix is boiling you need to gather the foam and throw it away and when the juice has coagulated enough and the blueberries are boiled you will add the lemon juice, and then let it boil for one more minute. It will be then placed in tied jars and kept into dry dark places.

The Blueberry Gravy recipes differ from country to country and region to region. Below is an interesting and easy one.

Ingredients: 2 eggs, 200 grams of cream, 2 spoonfuls of flour, sugar, salt, meat soup and 150 grams blueberries.

We keep one spoonful of cream for later. Then we wipe into a bowl the rest of the cream with sugar, we put the flour in and stir well. We add the clean berries and the meat soup. The resulting compound will be boiled for 10 minutes stirring well constantly.

In a large plate we stir the eggs with the remaining spoon of cream, we pour over it the hot gravy and we serve it immediately.
