Red Raspberry

A portion of red raspberries with honey can replace dinner. It is a good method to maintain weight, but it also prevents cardiovascular diseases and cancer.

Researchers at American Universities prove that the red raspberries contain two acids that prevent cancer. These two have detoxifying properties, stop tumors from developing and stimulate the anti-cancerous activity and that of hepatic cells. In the fight against tumors we also use the anti – cyanides, substances that give red raspberries their color. The anti- cyanides stop cancerous cells from spreading in the body. These substances also help prevent rheumatoid arthritis pains and complications, help us avoid early aging and strengthen arterial walls, acting as cardiovascular protective agents. The red raspberries are a good general tonic and a perfect source of vitamins – 100 grams of red raspberries contain 30 milligrams of vitamin C, 1 milligram of vitamin E, potassium, iron and calcium.

According to nutritionists, the raspberries can be consumed at discretion in weight loss diets, because they only provide 25 calories per 100 grams. Most people are advised to replace dinner with a portion of red raspberries and honey. But be careful, do not add to much honey because honey does contain very many calories and sugars. Even if raspberries have little calories, they are nutritive and rapidly return a sensation of fullness. And they bring another benefit. They have hypoglycemic properties, limiting at the same time the insulin production. It’s a known fact that insulin has its role in the weight gaining process because it helps store sugars under the form of fats.

The red raspberries have curative properties and are recommended to all those suffering from gland disorders or constipation. And they also constitute a great desert during hot summer days. Red raspberries recipes are highly valued both in traditional cooking and in contemporary restaurants. They are considered to be the snack of Gods, and this is why you will get served with raspberries even in the world’s most famous and most expensive hotels and restaurants. Both children and adults enjoy a cup of red raspberries at any time during the day, but it’s recommend to eat them after we had our meals because if eaten before they might induce fullness and stop us from being able to eat the entire meal. Of course, this is beneficial in weight loss diets, but in case of normal people it is not recommended.
