How Does Vitamin B5 Help Cure Acne?
Vitamin B5 is known to cure acne. If you are asking how, you are not alone. Hundreds of people ask the same question. Let us take a closer look at just that question. How does Vitamin B5 cure acne?
Vitamin B5 helps the body to reduce the release of oil. In mega doses, it is thought to clear and prevent future cases of acne. Is this true? There is not enough research on the topic and its long-term effects on your acne and your body to draw a clear informed conclusion. However, there are many people using it and they seem to be convinced that it works. It does prevent the body from releasing oil in excess so it would be a logical conclusion it would help in reducing acne but as to curing it, that remains to be proven.
Vitamin B5 prevents your body from releasing excess oils. When you start taking a mega dose of this vitamin, you may initially notice a breakout of acne. The problem with that is many people when they see the new outbreak think to themselves, understandably, this does not work, and stop using it before its effects can be seen. Do not let your initial break out deter you if you have decided to try this method. It is thought that the outbreak of acne is not a newly formed outbreak but rather the end of one that already was apparent that had not broken the skin layer yet.
Why is it that we expect results immediately? The imperfection did not appear overnight so why should we think that it would disappear over night. That is the biggest mistake people make with curing or reducing the signs of acne. We do not take the time to give the chosen remedy a long enough time to “fix” the problem we got it for.
In conclusion, the treatment of acne using Vitamin B5 is still young and unproven. There is not an over abundance of research into the long-term effects of this treatment. It is clear that it does diminish the appearance of acne and seems to deter acne from reappearing. The use of Vitamin B5 as with any other acne treatment, should be given ample time to work. You did not get the blemishes in a minute so do not expect them to disappear instantly.
